If the world were 100 people
An innovative info- graphic designer, Tony Ng, has published a series of posters depicting world statistics scaled to a population of 100 rather than the current 6 billion. The project gives insight to world inequalities on a manageable scale, but nevertheless does not fail to shock. “If the world were a village of 100 people 48 can’t speak, act according to their faith and conscience due to harassment, imprisonment, torture or death and 50 can.”
“If the world were a village of 100 people 20 live in fear of death by bombardment, armed attack, landmines, or of rape or kidnapping by armed groups and 80 don’t.”
